Oversees and leads strategic media planning for assigned teams

  • Contributes to development of media KPIs and objectives along with client and brand team
  • Leads client communication - builds and maintains strong relationships
  • Leads tactical recommendation and ensures strategic approach is maintained through channel recommendation
  • Oversees and aids in the development of Jr. Planner and Planner
  • Evaluates partners to ensure they align to strategic goals
  • Drives strategic development of media recommendation with support
  • Reviews and approves Planner recommendation for campaign optimizations and new tactics
  • Supports media lead with New Business Development
  • Conducts reviews of junior team members and ongoing check ins
  • Leads client presentations
  • Focuses on interdepartmental integration to ensure key teams are working closely together
  • Helps prioritize workload of junior team members
  • Evaluates vendor media contracts with support from Planner
  • Aids in organic growth of existing accounts
  • Acts as a strategic resource across client team(s)
  • Serves as a trusted resource for junior team members and other colleagues
  • Recognizes the necessity of guiding others to understand the “ why” and “ how” while providing direction
  • Champions decisions made by strategic leadership works with team to develop and promote execution plans for media initiatives
  • Supports the teams and helping to get client aligned on strategic media and analytics initiatives
  • Provides guidance, direction, and support to teams; helps to generate effective on-boarding and knowledge transfer materials for new employees
  • Strong working relationships across teams; acts as valued resource team members outside of account; fosters a feeling of belonging and strong morale within the team 
  • Provides on-going, effective, and constructive feedback to aid in professional development of team members; maintains dialogue to understand departmental goals; identifies relevant training opportunities

  • Has a broad, basic knowledge of brands, category, plans, channels, and process
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in cross-channel media
  • Demonstrates collaboration with internal and external partners

  • Helps to identify media growth opportunities for the company as well as within existing businesses
