Must have experience playing drums and/or percussionist instruments and be able to speak with t he user community, give advice and recommendations 

 

 

The Social Media Strategist will plan, execute, monitor and continuously adjust the companies social strategy, across its key social channels (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and YouTube). They will develop paid and organic content strategies that grow our communities and drive business, while operating as the primary community manager. They will report to and partner closely with the Strategy + Planning group leads, and collaborate with the Creative and Artist Relations teams to support the objectives of the Business Unit.

 

Candidates should be passionate about social media, content, and communications strategy, but also be an experienced and passionate



Roles and Responsibilities
  • Work directly with Strategy + Planning practice leads to drive strategy for the brands’ expression— writing short form copy and publishing content, that aligns with the brand
  • Craft marketing briefs, editorial calendars and campaign plans for new and existing products lines and branded content series
  • Lead the monitoring and reporting on social campaigns and content activity, providing regular updates to the business unit on KPI performance
  • Manage social media budgets and timelines
  • Stay ahead of updates social trends, best practices and content ideas across all platforms, proposing tests and trial programs to enhance our presence
  • Help manage influencers & partnership marketing opportunities with Director of Artist / Influencer Relations
  • Find opportunities to amplify our partnerships with media outlets, retailers, and OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers)
  • Collaborating with global affiliates to ensure consist brand expression and coordinated marketing strategies
  • Attend live events, concerts, music-industry events, etc. to capture content

 

Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in social media management and content development across Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and YouTube social channels
  • Percussion instrument player and interested in learning about and talking about gear, with exceptional grasp of the percussion community and music Instrument industry
  • Deep understanding of social media analytics
  • Bachelor’ s degree in a related field
  • Up-to-speed with best practices to maximize performance on social
  • Experience with live streaming
  • Strong attention to detail with well-honed organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
