The Product Compliance Manager is part of the global product compliance team and will lead regional efforts to implement the Brand' s global product compliance strategy and structure to effectively predict, manage, and mitigate risks. This position will support existing standard processes and help build toward the envisioned state of the company' s compliance strategy. The incumbent will ensure the delivery of world class products and services by understanding and anticipating requirements as defined within the product compliance strategy. 

Job Responsibilities...

With support from legal, this position will be responsible for knowing and understanding the regulations that affect company products in the market supported and communicating requirements to the product planning functions
Actively participate with retail, marketing, legal, product development, and government affairs in the planning and support of in-market compliance-related activities in accordance with our growth strategy. This includes efforts such as the obtaining and interpretation of regulations, forecasting of future requirements, and support of any necessary in-market efforts – e.g. testing, document submission, issue resolution, lobbying, etc.
Work with marketing to support the confirmation and communication of what product offerings are planned to be offered in which markets by when for vehicles, General Merchandise, product services, and Parts & Accessories regarding product offerings in new markets as well as identification and evaluation of possible new opportunities and initiatives in our existing markets.
Facilitate planning, predicting, and communicating future product regulatory risks within the region’ s markets
Exhibits leadership skills consistent with the corporate values and ensures clear team direction by providing strategic guidance and coaching and monitor progress against group goals.
 


A positive and motivated individual that is naturally organised with a meticulous attention to detail. Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience. 
Required regulatory knowledge and understanding of processes and testing, certifications. Broad expertise and understanding of regulatory processes and Free Trade Agreements (FTAs)
Proven capabilities in process/productivity improvement including requirement planning, metrics/analytics, performance monitoring, and process mapping including complex programs and problem resolution. 
Global experience is highly-valued, to include working with people from other cultures where English is a second language.
Strong industry knowledge, preferably with automotive experience. Knowledge and experience with apparel/textiles, vehicles, licensing, aftermarket service parts industries is strongly preferred. 
Knowledge of product planning and product development methodologies is strongly preferred.
