he Marketing Data Analyst will be part of the Strategy & Planning team, working closely with the entire team, sales and our business leads to align on business objectives, develop key performance indicators (KPIs) in crucial business areas, and provide ongoing analysis and insights to devise and/or enhance strategies and plans to optimize all marketing activities. Acting as the analytics translator of the company, the primary goal of the marketing data analyst will be to track campaigns, segment the customer base, monitor competitors and identify market trends to create successful marketing programs across the company’ s various sales channels with an eye on increased market share and profitable, sustained growth.


  • Forecasting & Projections
    • Develop strong partnerships with the Strategy & Planning team to optimize marketing plans and tactics, based on insights and trends
    • Manage marketing channel forecasting in relation to FP&A
  • KPI Strategy & Reporting
    • Collect and analyze data from multiple sources
    • Develop and maintain marketing dashboards across five business units and work with Strategy leads to publish monthly, quarterly and annual reports that help develop business, sales and marketing strategies, budgets and go-to-market plans
  • Analysis
    • Analyze sales funnels and loyalty acquisition across our digital ecosystem
    • Measure and report on the effectiveness of marketing programs and strategies; and recommend areas for optimization
    • Measure and report on web performance across B2B and DTC brand sites, working with the Director of Digital Products and Director of Digital Marketing to identify benchmarks and recommend optimization of these platforms
  • Targeting
    • Conduct primary and secondary research to develop better customer data— demographics, preferences, needs and buying habits— for segmentation and consumer profiling
  • Experimentation
    • Conduct competitive research and analyze benchmarking data and develop recommendations on the results
    • Evaluate methods for collecting data and devise plans for optimizing and augmenting
  • 3 to 5  years of data analyst experience
  • Bachelor' s degree in Business, Statistics, Math or Computer Science
  • Agency experience preferred
  • Strong analytical aptitude, attention to detail and strong critical thinking skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to present your ideas in an organized and coherent manner
  • Self-starter and a problem-solver, eager for keeping busy and engaged
  • Experience with Cognos and/or Domo is a big plus
  • Familiarity with database technologies like Access or SQL
  • Strong segmentation/profiling background (Simmons, MRI, etc.)
  • Experience with statistical/modeling tools and language (R, Stata, Java computation modeling, etc.)
  • Microsoft Excel power user skills, such as macro and pivot table creation
  • Fluency in all basic office programs (PPT, XLS, DOC) is required.
  • Experience with:
    • Native social analytics: Facebook Insights, Twitter Analytics, Instagram Analytics, YouTube Analytics and LinkedIn Analytics
    • Social listening tools: e.g. NUVI, Sprout Social
    • Website analytics tools: Google Analytics, HotJar
    • Digital Ad analytics: Google AdWords
  • Experience measuring e-Commerce sales
  • Experience in banners/digital media reporting
