Title: Graphic Designer 

Location: Mid-City LA


Our client is seeking a freelance Graphic Designer to work in there  Los Angeles office. The  Graphic Designer will report to the Art Director and will play an integral role in growing our business.

They are seeking a highly motivated Graphic Designer with a strong graphic design foundation (typography, form, color, composition, image-making, etc.), and a clean, playful and sophisticated design sensibility. In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of our brand identity and work across multiple channels from marketing to interactive. You will need strong organizational and interpersonal skills to excel in this role. High interest in fashion/fashion retail is a must!

Looking to see portfolios for  designers with relevant work in eCommerce, branding, fashion or art realm. Recent graduates OK. The position is currently open and the right person could start tomorrow! 

In this role you will:

Research and participate in creating seasonal mood boards pertaining to typography, layout and trends in graphic design relevant to evolving the visual language of Nasty Gal

Design core in-house branding projects

2+ years of Graphic Design experience 

Contribute to the redesign of the website, email templates, content integration and other various brand projects

Design compelling marketing and weekly assets for the home page, landing pages, blog, online ads, social media assets, etc.

You have:

Bachelors degree in Graphic Design/Communication Design

Strong foundational graphic design skills including typography, form, color, image-making etc.

Ability to design and create assets in a variety of styles from hand drawn to digital

High fluency/expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Bridge. After Effects knowledge is a plus.)

Comprehension of logical page structure, readability, visual hierarchy and balance, and have an understanding of eCommerce marketing language: call to action, conversion, etc.

Ability to translate style guide into visually compelling and easy-to-navigate designs for emails, Tumblr, blog, banners, etc.

Ability to work efficiently with the team under tight deadlines, respond to feedback with a positive attitude and adaptability to late-changing requirements

  Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills

High attention to detail

Familiarity with mobile and responsive design a plus
