As the Program Lead at client in Mountain View, you’ ll be leading a team of 35+ individuals to create digital experiences for a high paced, tech savvy client. You will be embedded at client’ s site, full time.
Leading independent digital agency looking for a seasoned digital production professional to lead a talented team of Design & Producers.The EP will be responsible for strategic leadership in this rapidly growing business, and leading the charge on production. The EP will ensure all projects are delivered on time, within budget and at the highest quality from a technical, creative and best practice perspective whilst meeting or exceeding the expectations of the client and internal team. This person will be responsible for managing a team of producers and traffic managers as well as resources across all projects. In this role, you will be reporting to the Executive Director and Creative Director to manage staff and assist with the recruitment.
In your role, you will report to the Executive Director, who will drive the strategy and direction for company-wide operations. The MV production team will report into you, and you will responsible for utilizing and managing them to get the job done in the most professional and efficient manner possible.
What You’ ll Do:
Oversee and mentor a team of producers and traffic managers, providing clear direction on process and project management fundamentals. Also providing recommendations around external resources and freelance options that fit the needs of the projects/effort
Drive strategy, usability and best practice into every project. Ensure that the team of producers are aware of the latest technology and trends and are considering them when managing projects.
Educate agency on best practice and digital strategy
Manage the financials for the team, ensuring work has been estimated properly, signed off, client PO' s/invoices delivered, etc. Also responsible for monthly forecasting and revenue reporting to Finance/Clients as well as project reconciliation
Own relationships with key clients, helping to drive strategy and best practice
Work with clients, Creative teams, and Producers to clearly define project requirements and create all required project documentation templates
Partner with strategy, tech, and creative to continually push the quality of our work.
Ensure we create case studies, fly-thrus, creative samples, press releases, etc., around all key project work
Collaborate with the project team to identify strategies and solutions that will best meet the client’ s needs within established constraints
Act as secondary point of escalation for clients (post Program Manager) for production teams when projects go off track. Mitigate difficult client and project situations professionally and respectfully
Contribute to the business development process; manage workflow on pitches, new client proposals and tender documents.
Responsible for overall account and project leadership, developing executive level relationships with clients that positions client as a strategic advisor for current and future project / account work.
Manage, lead and train/mentor the producer team. Provide structured growth plans, job descriptions and conduct review cycles aligned with company review program. Propose promotions and employee raises to VP Operations.
Resolve team conflicts and collaborate with the project team to identify strategies and solutions that will best meet the needs within established constraints.
Maintain an active presence in office during office working hours at MV office in Mountain View, CA, to provide in-person, direction, support and leadership to the team.
Travel up to 25% of time to support client engagements and new business pitches.
Minimum Required Experience and Skills:
8+ years relevant experience in digital production, 3-4 years as an EP or Senior Program Manager of a multi million dollar engagement & direct reports (production/project or product managers)
Excellent project documentation skills (functional and technical specifications, detailed scope summary/SOWs, requirement lists, risk analysis log, etc.) and production management process
Strong relationships with wide variety of external digital suppliers and outsource partners Established relationships with wide variety of recruiters to ensure we get the best people when looking for new hires or freelancers
Excellent awareness and interest in social media, strong knowledge of the latest and greatest emerging technologies
Experience managing e-commerce projects, including, campaigns, email marketing, eCRM initiatives, creative interactive, agency and tech experience highly preferred
Strong financial management experience required, knowledge of how to forecast financials, develop an estimate at completion, develop utilization models, and scope large scale retainer or Time & Materials engagements (outlining scope, assumptions, dependencies, team modeling etc)
Excellent knowledge of GSuite in addition to Smartsheets for timeline management
Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to communicate and negotiate in a professional manner with clients and internal staff
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple workstreams at once
Strong understanding of all technical aspects of digital marketing including publishing and technical engineering environments, dev languages/platforms, testing/QA best practice, etc.
Bachelor’ s degree and creative agency experience required
