As a Contract Senior Content Strategist, you will be responsible for overseeing all content requirements, and creating all content strategy deliverables (content audits, gap analyses, taxonomies, metadata frameworks, style guides, content migration plans, etc.) across the project lifecycle. Collaborating closely with Experience Design, Creative, Strategy and Technology groups, you will play a key role in defining the content needs of multi-channel experiences, and working closely with client(s) to ensure the necessary content is sourced or otherwise generated. Ideal candidates must have a healthy sense of humor, and be ready to finally work in a place where they are no longer the smartest person in the room.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Work as a CS on interdisciplinary team of UX, Design and developers
  • Develop CS through collaboration with clients, subject-matter experts and UX/Design colleagues
  • Create and facilitate (with supervision/support) workshops with clients to identify/develop content requirements, future-state content inventories, editorial workflows, page tables
  • Participate in contextual inquiries
  • Conduct content audits
  • Create a content strategy to support business goals and strategic platform
  • Ensure content conforms to SEO best practices
  • Develop content inventories, gap analyses, content mapping documentation
  • Create editorial workflows customized to client culture and resourcing
  • Create structured content for CMS implementers
  • Work closely with account management team to translate business goals and user needs into meaningful content strategy
  • Set guidelines for the editorial tone, style, and voice of all content, as well as create governance documents for clients where appropriate
  • Partner with UX and design to translate content strategy into interface design and functionality
  • Help create taxonomies and metadata frameworks for grouping and tagging content
  • Partner with client to enhance, edit and reformat legacy and identify new content for creation
  • Develop marketing & lifestyle copy, naming conventions, instructional copy, and other interface textual elements
REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor s degree in a related area
  • 3-5 years professional experience as a content strategist
  • Strong conceptual thinker
  • Excellent writer including strategic documents and copywriting
  • Impeccable mastery of grammar, editing and proofreading
  • Demonstrated understanding of content strategy s role in UX and digital design process
  • Experience producing Content Strategy deliverables
  • Ability and desire to collaborate across disciplines
  • Knowledge of CMS systems and their effect on content strategy
  • Avid follower of developments in content strategy as a discipline
  • Experience working with a broad array of clients in multiple industry verticals
  • Experience working within multiple channels (web content, mobile apps, video, advertising, whitepapers, interaction copy, etc
  • Outstanding organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
