Audio Video Installation Manager

Located in Sacramento CA

Perm Role

The preferred candidate must possess a strong understanding of the Installation process of Audio/Visual and Video conferencing equipment as well as the technical knowledge of system design. Installation managers are responsible for managing Field Installation Technicians, reviewing project documentation, and assisting Project management staff in the successful completion of projects.

Essential Functions

* Manages the day to day operations of a team of Audio/Video technicians

* Manages multiple installations and service projects simultaneously

* Reviews Bills of Materials, Scopes of Work, and Audio Visual systems diagrams for accuracy and completeness

* Resolves and effectively manages project related issues and changes to ensure customers receive a high level of service

* Coordinates Personnel scheduling with Project Management (for ongoing installations) and Technical Services Teams (for break/fix or service requests)

* Performs quality control inspections of ongoing projects
  • Strong ability to evaluate subcontractor qualifications

* Fosters subcontractor relationships

* Ensures projects are completed on schedule and within budget

* Maintains awareness of any potential problems and work to mitigate risks

* Serves as liaison between technical and non-technical departments in order to ensure that all targets and requirements are met (such as backing up files to server archives)

* Provides remote support for field techs
  • Takes technical ownership of projects

Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of Audio/Visual/Videoconferencing installation experience
  • Room commissioning experience
  • Videoconferencing and A/V Integrated Systems experience
  • Expert level knowledge of Extron systems, Crestron systems and DSP applications
  • Candidate should be very energetic and detailed oriented with great follow up skills
  • Strong customer service and organizations skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and exercise good judgment
  • Project management experience a plus
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Solid problem solving and consultative skills in a fast paced environment
  • Highly efficient, organized, and very good at personal time management.
  • High degree of computer literacy (MS Office Suite, MS Project, Outlook, databases, and others)
  • Self-Motivated, Professional, Courteous and Dependable
  • Ability to handle a variety of people and personalities while maintaining a positive and professional attitude

Desired/Preferred Qualifications
  • Manufacturer' s/ CTS certifications a plus
  • Basic understanding of IP networks is a plus

Supervisory Responsibility

Manages the day to day operations of a team of installation technicians including time sheets, expense reports, annual reviews, PTO approval, scheduling etc.
