International Tax Manager

Responsibilities:
The International Tax Manager will support the ongoing development, implementation and maintenance of the international tax strategy for the Brand and subsidiaries.  
This position will provide tax support to a diverse group of global finance and business employees and will be the primary communication link between the tax department and the non-US business functions.  
This position is responsible for ensuring that all non-US tax reporting and recordkeeping obligations are met, coordination and support of local tax audits, business support for supply chain changes including expansion into new markets and supporting global tax accounting, tax planning and transfer pricing activities directed from the US.   In addition, this role will provide consulting support related to non-income tax matters including indirect taxes, customs duties and withholding taxes.   This role will also be involved in establishing, monitoring and communicating internal tax policies and procedures to ensure appropriate documentation and internal controls to minimize tax risks and liabilities.    
The International Tax Manager will ensure support of local finance personnel with respect to local income and non-income tax compliance work
The International Tax Manager will ensure the management and support of direct and indirect international tax audits
•     There are two main focuses – 
o     Collecting Information for US tax department such as year-end reporting, UK tax returns, tax notifications etc
o     Supporting the business – local projects but providing information to US tax department for clarity. The role will be a true Tax Partner, bringing tax to the table in region. They will be required to analyse new markets where we may expand the dealer network – so this will be a geographically expansive role.


Person Specification -
This position requires a bachelor’ s degree; accounting or finance major preferred. Chartered Accountant designation or an advanced degree in Tax or Law is preferred.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of income tax experience with an international accounting firm and/or global company that includes exposure to a variety of types of tax and related compliance and audit experience.  
It is preferred that a majority of the experience be in UK and foreign international tax although US tax experience and familiarity with US GAAP rules is a plus
This is not a typical tax role – the person will need to be multi-faceted rather than a tax specialist and be able to work across departments.


Salary  -  £ 75000
