Title:   Sr. UX Designer

SAN FRANCISCO, CA

Hours:   8: 00am to 5: 00pm           

Target Start Date: ASAP

Duration: 3-6 months    

Contract only or Contract to hire: Possible Contract to hire

 

We are looking for a hard working passionate Sr. UX Designer who cares about every detail. Who doesn’ t settle for average. Someone who wants to help create a beautiful, innovative and immersive experience for our customer. The Sr. UX Designer is responsible for helping lead the web design team. This position requires a highly motivated and highly collaborative individual— someone who is not only a great UI/UX designer, but also a potential leader who loves to inspire and help mentor a team. The Sr. UX Designer reports to the Digital Design Director who oversees all ecommerce design content.

 

 

Responsibilities:

-Mentor team members. Monitor their development and growth, giving feedback, both positive and constructive

-Reviews work and provide strong art direction on a day-to-day basis to ensure the design output is brand appropriate, and all marketing requirements are completed on time, and with the highest standard possible, for both internal and external reviews

-Articulate UI requirements using static, prototype, and motion deliverables

-Collaborate with the Digital Design Director to help elevate the overall digital experience

-Responsible for scheduling workflow, delegating projects to designers

-Work closely with cross-brand leads, including Marketing, Merchandising, and Production

-Contribute to, maintain, and help evolve the  design system

-Capacity to provide clear direction and actionable feedback to team members

-Pair with Dev to insure quality of the experience

-Present work to cross-functional stakeholders

-Strong knowledge of current design trends for web/mobile

-Passion for quality work with an understanding of how to prioritize and at times make tradeoffs

-Help create innovative immersive experiences focusing on functionality, usability and those micro-interactions that make a beautiful experience.

-Initiate new interactive concepts across web/mobile

-Handle projects from concept to completion

 

Qualifications:

-Must have a exceptional digital portfolio with a strong understanding of UX and Interaction design across web/mobile

-5+ years professional experience in web design

-Experience working with large, high traffic ecommerce websites a plus

-The ability to consistently deliver polished and professional UI design

-Strong, clean visual design sense; Advocate for simple, modern design and adherence to design conventions and best practices (e.g., responsive, accessibility)

-Solid knowledge of Industry design tools (i.e. Adobe CC, and or Sketch, Invision, Axure, etc.)

-The ability to identify opportunities for applying new methods and concepts to customer problems

-Able to develop UX design concepts, wireframes, mockups, prototypes, specifications

-Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and emerging technologies

-Exceptional attention to detail and solid organizational skills

-Self motivating and strong initiative

-Team player, willing to jump in and help out his/her team mates

-BA/BS degree - Graphic Design, Experience Design, Interaction Design or related field (or equivalent experience)
