Director of Social Media

JBCconnect is partnering with an amazing SF design agency on a Director of Social Media search. This is a contract role. You will be responsible for driving the social media communications strategy for a global brand. You will have individual interfaces with senior marketing technical and executive management to ensure strategic focus throughout planning and execution. The Director of Social Media works with his/her team to apply industry best practices to plan and optimize the social media marketing mix around client’ s goals. Half of this role will be spent in a strategic development and planning capacity, and the other half will be focused on execution of social media marketing plans and responsibilities.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership, direction and relevant insights that will guide the social media efforts and integrated marketing communications planning for clients.
  • Develop the agency’ s POV with regards to social design, social computing, and social media campaigns. Requires the development of presentations, partnerships with vendors in this space.
  • Provide thought leadership and drive innovation across the various agency accounts.
  • Deliver compelling competitive analysis, audience analysis, industry trends and client-facing and internal direction to identify and address key social media challenges and solutions.
  • Synthesize analysis to make powerful recommendations that drive clients to action and excite clients.
  • Apply knowledge to develop social media marketing plans that add value to the brand and identify future opportunities within the social media space.
  • Create and deliver integrated strategy recommendations.
  • Bring subject matter expertise to all agency accounts, understanding of relevant social platforms and vendors.?

Pre-Requisites: ?
  • Qualified candidates will bring at least 6+ years’ experience within an agency setting (3-4 years immersed in social/digital).
  • Must be able to work in a multi-discipline collaborative environment.
  • Must have a deep knowledge of social media technologies, platforms and services.
  • Team management and client facing experience a must.
  • Extremely strong leader with the ability to manage multiple initiatives.?
